1. Load the spreadsheet and enter the title 'Football Results'.
2. On a row below the title enter the first column heading 'Team' which should be left aligned.
3. Enter the other column headings, right aligned as follows:
P W D L F A GD
P- Games Played, W - Won, D - Draw, L - Lost, F - Goals For. A - Goals Against, GD
4. Enter in the Team column, the eight teams (left aligned). The remaining columns should be narrow enough to minimise the overall width of the spreadsheet.
Rovers, Greasers, Electors, Ponders, Wager, Chickens, Movers, Adders.
5. Enter the results so far:
TEAM P W D L F A GD ROVERS 6 2 3 1 8 4 0 GREASERS 7 6 1 0 12 2 0 ELECTORS 7 3 4 0 10 6 0 PONDERS 8 5 2 1 9 5 0 WAGERS 8 3 0 5 5 4 0 CHICKENS 8 0 7 1 8 4 0 MOVERS 7 1 2 4 4 6 0 ADDERS 6 1 3 2 7 5 06. Set the format for the GD column as integer.
7.Calculate the GD for the Rovers team by subtracting goals against (A) from goals for (F) (=F-A).
8. Replicate this formula so that the GD for the rest of the teams is displayed.
9. Save and print your spreadsheet - ensure the gridlines are on your print out (File, Page Setup, sheet - tick gridlines).
10. 1) The MOVERS have changed the name of the team. The new name is MOTIVATORS, make this change and adjust the width of the TEAM column to display all the names in full.
10. 2) The CHICKENS have successfully appealed against a disallowed goal. Amend the CHICKENS goals Scored for in the column headed F to 9.
11. Insert a new column between the (A) against column and the GD column to display the points earned by each team. use the heading POINTS, which should be right aligned.
12. The points earned are calculated as 3 points for each win and 1 point for each draw.
Generate the points earned by the ROVERS team using the following calculation:
=(3*W)+(D) (use cell references)
Replicate this formula to give the points earned by all the teams.
13. Change the spreadsheet so that the GD figures are displayed integer.
14. Delete the column headed L; it has been decided that his information is not necessary.
15. Create a border round the spreadsheet (Format, cells, border - or click the Border icon on the toolbar).
16. Save and print the spreadsheet.
17. To demonstrate that formulae has been used in the spreadsheet, produce a print showing the formula for the POINTS column.
18. Print out the spreadsheet.
19. EXIT from the spreadsheet application, making sure the data is secure.
